What is Teens Encounter Christ?
Our story
Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a whirlwind three day retreat for high school students designed to allow them to encounter Jesus Christ through worship, speakers, faith & team building activities, games, music, great food and new friendships. Our prayer is that each student leaves TEC with a deeper understanding of Christ life, death, resurrection, and his continuing mission on Earth through his church. Central CA TEC is a non-denominational student led ministry serving the churches and students of the Central Valley.
What happens in a TEC weekend?
We have TONS of fun in a TEC weekend. You never know what may happen next. Every element of TEC is strategically designed with the ultimate purpose of bringing teens closer to Christ.
Youth Pastor Information
TEC is a student led ministry. We could not do what we do without them. With that being said, the adults behind the scenes must keep things going, and disciple the younger generation.
We challenge our students to build a community around themselves that helps build them up and help each other grow. The home and/or school lives of some of our students may not be that place. They ma rely heavily on their church family for support.
After a TEC weekend, students are coming off a mountain, and they need to be challenged to step into their faith. Being able to connect with a youth group is a big part of that journey.
We would love to get your commitment to serve along side us, bring along some students, and encounter Christ. After the weekend is over, we encourage pastors to be there for and provide a place where students can come and stay connected.
